resizing pic for avatarI have been trying to resize a photo I took last weekend and want to use it as my new avatar. Is anyone willing to re-size it to the required size and email it back to me? I'm at work and we do not have any imaging software that we can use. We are not allowed to download stuff either.

Re: resizing pic for avatar
Terry: Use IrfanView to resize. You have to actually choose to maintain aspect ratio and then either choose 60 pixels as the width or 80 pixels as the height.. either way neither value can exceed 80 pixels. Here is the link for the program IrfanView 3.98. It is a very, very easy program to use. Oh.. save the pic as xxx (resized).gif so you do not replace or confuse the original file.. I usually save to a subfolder called either Irfan or Resized. Have a look at the How to Do Neat Things in a Post thread.. ok, will do that guys, thanks. The other software i was using at home just would not work right....either it was too smart or too dumb, or me for that matter.

Terry - Irfanview is what I used to reduce it for you.

If anyone is still reading this post I used the paint program that comes with windows to resize my avatar. Use the stretch/skew option under the image choice.

If you can't find it, don't lose it.
Pete: IrfanView... is about the best and the simplest... really good small program.
