I have found that the majority of the causes for dropping flash chat is having too many instances of IE or Firefox open... and if you are in the wrong window... usually the flash window and you click on a link, it may bounce you out of flash. I really do not believe it has ANYTHING to do with the type of connection.. it seems to me to be a MacroMedia Flash issue... just one of those annoying burbles in the software
