How do I.... ?

I've tried sending two PM's, but I've noticed they're both in my Outbox, and never get to the Sent Box. I've successfully sent other PM's in the past. Does this mean they haven't gone out? What am I doing differently with some and not others?
Thanks for your help.

Paul, I just sent myself a test message from the private message board and it worked. If it's still in the outbox, it hasn't sent it.

Check your PM boxes, they could be full and you will need to delete some of the older messages.

I thought they stayed in the out box until the person they were meant for read them, then they moved to the sent box.
