No email notification

I have my control panel set to email me when I have PM's or there is a reply to one of my posts. All of a sudden I quit getting these notifications. I checked my email and my control panel settings and they are okay soI should get these.

Anybody else having this problem?

I have had that experience also. But in this case I have not recieved a notification in almost a week.

I can't see any problems with the mail server (currently). There are a lot of factors involved with email notifications that are beyond the control of this site once a message is sent... Make sure you have farmallc@farmallcub.com as an email address that is allowed to send your mail program messages -- this will help insure that any anti-spam software you or your ISP may be running does not trash the messages.

I have not been getting e-mail notifications of PM's either. This has been since early last week or so. My e-mail address is an AOL mail address, and none of the farmallc@farmallcub.com emails have been showing up in my spam box either...

I received a PM last night. Stamped 9:19 PM. At 9:23:53 I received an email letting me know. Not sure why mine is working if it isn't working for you guys. If there is anything you'd like me to check on my settings, let me know.

I get my pm notification emails and all that other good stuff no problem, but like you I have a particular problem that I cannot seem to resolve. When I am writing a post/reply etc., and I want to bold, italicize, colour or increase the font, I cannot just highlight the text and click the buttons. What happens is that if I highlight the text, click the buttons I want .. they all will appear but AFTER the highlighted text. Cannot figure it out (Dennis -- suggestions please )

However I did discover this. It is only on the one machine.. (main one in the Cub Lair..), the laptop upstairs and my other puters do not have that problem. This leads me to deduce that the problem is peculiar to this individual machine and whatever gremlins are making themselves at home.

I will keep trying to solve my little problems. I have a feeling that if you already have added this to your email account properties, then your problem may be at your ISP level and that they may be getting blocked. (Many ISP's routinely block email from whole blocks of domains/IP's). As Dennis suggested, make sure that farmallcub.com is listed as a trusted site and emails from the mailer farmallcubc@farmallcub.com is added to the settings in your email client as well as your on-line account at your ISP.

Check your version of Java installed and make sure it is the latest is one thing that comes to mind. Also, if you are using an older browser, like IE6, it will have lots of issues as the web moves forward in technology.

As you probably know, I am a firm IE 6 user as I cannot abide IE7 and the inability to go back... I am a bit anal about flexiblity and IE7 is just not.. oh well.. I guess I may have to get used to it eventually, but FireFox is becoming more and more enticing. So is Chrome..

So let's see, I just downloaded Jave 6-13 so hopefully if that was the problem it will have fixed it.

If your ISP (in your case BD Roadrunner) has a spam filter setup for your email, it may be trashing them before they every reach your computer. See if they have a filter setting on your online RR account page. Many use programs like SpamAssassin to remove unwanted emails.

I am on AOL (web accessed...not through their crappy program) for my e-mail, and just this morning I got a notification of two PM's that I got from Eugene last night... I am getting the notification now, but they are just taking a little longer to get to my inbox...
