State Flag + ?s

Postby johnbron » Mon Dec 27, 2004 9:11 am

I have been changing grades from upgrades to downgrades & visa/versa on this machine to find what will work best for me. Now I am using the latest upgrade which is 9.1.1 but now I have noticed that the state flag is missing on members info on each post including mine. I went to My profile page to check the flag choice box and that feature is completely gone. Also the first thing I check on the index page is (View new posts). Well it still has that heading but there is no number amount displayed anymore. Just curious if anybody else has lost these features?. I suspect not and the problem lies only on My system. :o

Well, now you've done it J.B.! You made the flag disappear on my computer too!

There must be a snafu in the forum software.

JB, you're always causing problems. I hadn't noticed it until you mentioned it, but mine is gone too. I can't even find a place to select it on my profile. I couldn't say fro sure, since I tend not to pay to close attention, but I think they may have been missing for a while.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

 Oh`oh, I think its a conspiricy by those politically correct folks that want to burn all flags since I offended them by still using the "Merry~Christmas" greeting this year.

Thats it jb, you "Merry Christmas "sayer! Now the flags are gone. Is it just me or is it that the only ones who say Merry Christmas to me anymore are the foreign store clerks/owners?

You can blame it on me fella's. I installed a security update to the message board over the weekend (Merry Christmas!) and it broke the enhancements (Flags and posts's since last visit) modifications I installed previously.

Looks like I know what I'll be doing this coming weekend

  "Whew", Thanks fer fessin up Dennis. These guys were were all starting to gang up on me and you just may have saved me from getting run over by a convoy/herd of snortin angry Cubs.

I guess I am the only observant one here who would notice such a minor thing as missing flags and new post counts. When Dennis corrects his Boo~Boo I think I will raise a white flag to my info.

When Dennis corrects his Boo~Boo

Not really a boo-boo, just a temporary oversight. If I did not patch the message board quickly, it was in jeapordy of having an internet worm (virus) take over and corrupt the message board. That would not have been a good thing, so we went from version 2.0.6 to 2.0.11 FAST.

Now I'll add the other things -- and maybe a few more -- back in as time permits.

Thanks for noticing too, sometime I wonder if anyone notices any changes :?

Either I'm seeing double or something fouled up and I'm getting two flags now :? Now that is going to take some work to figure out how I did that and how to un-do-it

Take your time Dennis. Don't sweat the small stuff. Besides while they are picking on you they are leaving me alone.
