All of a sudden today my cmputer is asking for a password to get into my email. I have never had to do that before. I don't have a password for it so I can not get my mail. I have gone into my account set up and tried to give it a password but it doesn't help.
Anybody have a remedy?

It is common sense to take a method and try it. If it fails, admit it frankly and try another. But above all, try something.

Re: Email Password
Bill, is this from your ISP, or is it gmail or something like that?
And to be completely honest, I've never heard of anyone NOT having a password associated with their mail account.

Re: Email Password
I have had occasions in the past where the e-mail sofware asked for a password. Even entering the known password would not work. I re-booted the computer and it went away????

Re: Email Password
Roy, this is what I get:

I have rebooted Rosie on occasion and she has never gone away, but what the heck, I'll try it with my computer.

Re: Email Password

If you are not part of the solution,

Yep, It has been a looooong time since I have had to use it. After I rebooted the computer I got to thinking the same thing so I tried a couple different old passwords and BINGO, my mailbox runneth over.
