new tablet

I just got a new WiFi tablet, not one of the fancy ones, just a little cheapy using Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Considering my old eyes, I got a 9 inch one. I have scanned my service and parts manuals to searchable .pdf and loaded them onto it. Seems to work quite well, but I did not realize until I played with it some that Android does not have any print provisions. i believe it is going to be handy to play with, as well as download some books to. It appears I can use Google Chrome and communicate with my desktop , but I am always hesitant to do anything to open up access to my pc from another location.
