Downloaders do not work

Postby Bus Driver » Sun Jul 21, 2013 1:08 pm

For a while I used Freemake Video and Real Downloader with much success and with much personal satisfaction. Now they do not work anymore. I checked the ADD-ONS and all the settings are correct.
Perhaps some automatic update to some other program is the problem. I have uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled with no improvement. How can I get these to function again?
Windows 7, Mozilla Firefox.

Every time Firefox goes through a software update some of the add ons do not work. New iterations are needed but may not be available. One of the rather irritating attributes of Firefox and one of the reasons why I now use Opera as my primary browser.

My slow mind, and the press of other things, made me find the answer only today. I decided to contact Real and ask them. They already posted that Mozilla 22 has this problem and they are working on it. So I just opened Internet Explorer ( which I do not like) on my computer and the downloads work just fine. So there is something to like about IE. Mozilla? They don't want to rattle my chain too much.
Thanks for giving me the important clue.
