JIm, just so you and others know. This is a great version if you are NEW to the software, or if you are staring over.

However, if you are UPGRADING please see their disclaimer below:

UPGRADERS: Does NOT transfer existing data from other Quicken versions

If you have been using their software for years, as many of us have, you would not want the Starter Edition most likely.

thanks everyone, I did go to their website, but did not see an answer to my question. Guess I just overlooked it. Looks like when this comes about I will go with quicken.

Yes it does, John.

John, is this the question you wanted an answer to?

We were starting from scratch again :) , for clarification.

Edit.
To make a long story short , we had some issues on the computer the 2002 quicken was installed on and lost the program We decided to start fresh with a new version and got the Starter 2014 version to keep it simple and uncluttered which is perfect for what we use it for...There is also online access and direct downloads from bank accounts in the starter version as well.

I used Quicken for years, very easy. Print a report take it to tax person an hour later taxes are done.

Well, I bought it about 2 weeks ago, and am really sorry. It worked great the first try, but when I tried a new account update it said my bank had a new security system, and I needed to update Quicken, which I did, but does not help. No way to get in touch with a person, if there were I would request a refund. As it is, it looks like the best thing I can do is give it bad marks on every review site I can find.

Read this, John. I do not have the new version nor do I download transactions from bank, so I won't be much help.

http://quicken.intuit.com/support/help/quicken-2013-hot-topics-and-known-issues/INF21487.html

I would certainly test this statement if you can not resolve the issue.

we back Quicken 2013 with a 60-Day Money-Back Guarantee.

Thanks, but no help, I have 2014, plus I did the Quicken update as they suggested, and still cannot download from the bank.

Thanks, I could not find that doing a search of the Quicken site. I guess I was too frustrated to read carefully enough. I still have 30 days to request refund, and just spent 2 hours on line with support, which is not very good. They requested some logs, and are escalating. Said I should hear back in 7 - 10 days at latest. since this is not at present a high priority item, I will give them some time.

Sounds somewhat long. Don't let them keep putting you off until the money back guarantee runs out.

I agree with Bill. I think I would check back with them before 7 days. Don't want your time to run out.
