Try the "Introduce Yourself" section, about halfway down the page.

I moved this thread to the Introduce Yourself forum.

Welcome to the forum!

Once you've logged a 2nd post (like adding a post in this thread), you'll have access to all the manuals on the server. They’re located under the "Quick Links" pull-down menu in the upper left of the screen. Go to "PDF Manuals", then scroll down and select whatever manual interests you. There's quite a bit of info pertaining to Farmall A and Bs, but kinda lean on 140 info. Regardless, you'll be able to apply a lot of what's there to your tractor.

We'd also encourage you to read:

Use the "Search" box in the upper right of the screen. It will locate answers to many of your questions.

Here's a good thread in the How To Forum for tractor owners of any model: What to do with a Cub you just brought home

Glad to have you here. Get that 2nd post under your belt and try to attach a picture of your 140. We'd like to see it.

Thanks folks! Just got back in after 3 hours of plowing a foot of snow off our 1/4 mile driveway and plowing the barn yard out. I'll post a photo of my 140. Really hard starting this morning at 9 degrees, although probably because I added to much gear oil to the transmission which created so much resistance the engine couldn't turn over quick enough to fire. I drained about a quart of taffy like gear oil and eventually it went. Thanks again!

Serial number will determine the year.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Hi, I'm Ron from North Carolina and joined on January 15, 2019. Like others, I gathered lots of good information from farmall.cub even before joining. I purchased a 1950 Cub with a Woods mower about a year ago and am now in the process of fitting it with a 54L (yes L) push blade to move a little snow in the North Carolina Mountians. Looking forward to getting to know other members.

Thanks again

Welcome, Ron.

That's a nice 140. I like that blade on the front--looks like it will push some serious snow.
