Drawbar mount receiver

More than 10 years back I bought a basic bumper mount receiver for my Cub and its been very useful. The holes matched perfectly with those in the drawbar. This will fit a Cub drawbar as well as an A's or Super A's, probably more but these I have and know for sure it will fit.
Anything that works in a receiver worked on the Cub. Tow hitches, receiver mounted baskets, winch mounts, etc...
Problem is truck bumpers have changed over the years so I guess this type of receiver doesn't work with whats made today so I can't find them anymore.
I did know receiver tubes were available thru ebay but they are powder coated (?) If your going to weld it, why powder coat it?
So I stopped in at my local iron works. Paula has Hobby Lobby, the iron works is my crafts store.
I grabbed a 6" raw metal tube, they come will the hole drilled and collar welded on. Once home I measured off the receiver I had, cut some bar stock I already had and drilled the holes. I clamped it and welded it up.
My welds aren't that of a real welders but they are plenty strong and I'm getting better.
This was a pretty basic task that can be done with a small wire feed welder.
I think it took me about 1-1/2 hour to do this. Anyone can do this with a little practice.
Tools used...
Milwaukee metal cutting chop saw
small drill press with 5/8" bit
grinder with a wire brush (wear eye protection, I'm still picking wire out of my hoodie)
Lincoln Electric HandyPac flux core wire feed welder
These tools won't break the bank to buy but you can do sooo much with them!
The material cost for this was about $14.

The bar stock I had on hand was thicker than the original piece had and was the same thickness and width of the drawbar.
The original receiver has proven extremely strong, I'm sure this one will be too.
