New Home for my Cubs

Got a project that you are working on that is not a tractor? Maybe a barn to hold your tractors or just fun stuff like woodworking, glass, tools, sheds, gardens, custom implements, etc., this is the place to talk about it.

Rudi, that jam sounds mighty cottonpicking fine to a hungry GA boy. yum yum. The temperature struggled to make it to 77 here today :big say what: . Supposed to be this way all the way through the extended 5 day forecast. Never fear, never worry, we will pay sometime in the future. Good to hear of the progress on the Cubbie House, Pete

Does that really count as storing it "indoors" with all that snow in there? ;)
Looking good! Done by Christmas, wouldn't that be a nice present for yourself there.

Last pic looks like a manure spreader and...?

Looking real good Rudi, even the snow is pretty when viewed from this distance in close to 80 degree weather today. That's a mere 24 degrees above average for us this time of year. If we could get you a little of this weather up there for a day or so, the snow in the barn would be gone in no time. I know you are going to enjoy the new shop when it is finished. Pete

Pete:

That is just a mere 87 degree F temperature difference.. nothing much to worry about...  :D :D Come on up :!:

JEff:

No, didn't have to shovel the roof. Won't have to either as the snow very seldom builds up on that face.. and it is big enough that the wind should take most of it off.

Monarch is here today to do some work. My driveway and the road is now plowed. Will try to take some pics. Backhoe is here too.. so maybe the barn will get cleaned out as well... 8) :D

Been awhile since I posted an update or a pic of the New Cub Enclosure.. so here are a few...

Image

Ellie and Granny are partially covered, more to keep em warm than anything else. As you can see, there is no snow left in the Pole Barn, pretty much all gone now. I have temporary doors up, and there is only the one hole left in the new structure to finish up. That would be that piece of air one can see on the right on top of the old roof. Small piece of gable that needs to be closed in.

Weather and a few other things have contributed to my not being able to complete yet, but it is getting closer.

One of the projects that took some time was Moving Day. My buddy Gord had to move his tractor collection and we still have one more moving day left, so as soon as he is back from his visit to Chile and Argentina.. we will get that back on the road.

Part of Gord's collection currently resides behind my New Cub House.. They still need to be covered, but we need a couple of nice days to do that.

If all goes well that just may occur :!: Currently as I write it is -7C or 19.4F with a SnowFall Warning in place. Schools are closed again today and a lot of businesses are closing up shop for the day as well.

Happy days .. :big smile: I like snow :!:

Managed to get some more done on the Pole Barn project yesterday. With all the rain, snow, freezing rain and a driveway that is second cousin to a skating rink.. it has been a challenge. Almost have the last gable done!

Rudi you are startin to look like Ralph Du Norde :)

Have enjoyed watching your progress here, but I'm even a much slower builder. Have been working on my new Cubspace/Shed for going on three years now and will be finishing it off next summer.....I think :). and its only a roof off of my existing garage out to the edge of the Carr Ravine.... lots of... Yep rocks  I have them to spare.

Thanks for the pictures and updates Rudi. It looks fantastic. Do you think its sturdy yet :D  :D
