Non-Tractor Electrical Question
Do we have any registered electricians on the board? I have a fairly (I think) simple wiring question. Thanks.

Re: Non-Tractor Electrical Question
Throw it out there and let us have a stab at it.

It is common sense to take a method and try it. If it fails, admit it frankly and try another. But above all, try something.

Re: Non-Tractor Electrical Question
OK, here goes. I have an older Crouse-Hinds, Type F, 100 amp load center in one of my outbuildings. The single pole breakers in it are Crouse-Hinds and labeled as Type MP. I want to add a 220/240 circuit for a welder outlet. Whose commonly available breakers can I use in this load center?

Re: Non-Tractor Electrical Question
Plenty of them on ebay starting at 4 bucks. Murray bought the product line.

Re: Non-Tractor Electrical Question
Looks like it, from what is written on the electrical contractors forums plus they are called Crouse Hind/ Murray MP breakers. I did also see a reference to Cutler Hammer CL breakers being interchangeable.

Re: Non-Tractor Electrical Question
I pulled an unused 20 amp breaker out of the box. I'll take it with me tomorrow and compare it to a Murray.
