First up was to prep the bare block and paint with drylok.

So after a trip to Menards and some one on one time with my Shopsmith here is the new shelf unit.

Storage ShelvesWe finally got around to redoing the basement storage shelves. There were 2ft wide "shelves" like this on three walls in the basement. One problem was that the electric panel was blocked, the other was that they were very poorly constructed of scantily used 1-1/2"sq framing and 3/8" plywood. All the framing was butt-jointed and fastened with one 10-penny nail per joint. They were wobbly, and with just one shelf at the floor and the other at 4ft, it only resulted in everything stacked on top of the other and wasted space.
