BOB gets a new loft floor.

Got a project that you are working on that is not a tractor? Maybe a barn to hold your tractors or just fun stuff like woodworking, glass, tools, sheds, gardens, custom implements, etc., this is the place to talk about it.

BOB gets a new loft floor.

Any of you guys who have dared to venture up into the west loft of BOB has seen this'

I have taken a little time to work this over a bit. Most of the joists had to be beefed up or replaced. I had a truck load of 1x6 tongue and groove flooring I salvaged from a house I tore down several years ago so it was time to put it to use. I had to rip up about an eight foot by twenty foot section that was rotted. It ain't pretty but it's functional. My goal was only to make this part of BOB useful.

Now it's time to replace the siding on that side. Hmmm...I bet this load of lumber will come in handy for that..

Are you going to paint the siding on the ground to make it easier? :D

Yeah, that looks good. Funny how much work you can tackle when retired -- and still have fun. But it's looking good.

So will there be an elevator, crane, or old fashioned ramp to get the Cubs to the second level parking?

It won't get none of that, but I did salvage the basement steps from the same house to get up there. This is a lot better than that old wooden ladder made out of 2x4's that was nailed flat against the wall.
