Winter Shop Work

Got a project that you are working on that is not a tractor? Maybe a barn to hold your tractors or just fun stuff like woodworking, glass, tools, sheds, gardens, custom implements, etc., this is the place to talk about it.

Winter Shop Work

Postby PVF1799 » Mon Feb 17, 2014 11:14 am

Hi all - many of you have seen photos of my small shop space. To work in a small space, I've needed to be very creative with storage. I was looking around for some storage ideas when I came across this product, which to my joy is all made in the USA. This system came complete as shown - sans tools of course. You can see more details here . I'm doing what I can now - Soon I hope the snow blower and winter stuff will be out of the shop - it will warm a bit and I'll be back at Rex'48. It's been way too long.

Looks good. Neat, clean, and well organized. All of which, mine isn't.

Re: Winter Shop Work - Now Finished

Hi all - it was just warm enough this weekend to have the shop door open long enough to complete my project. Here are some pix of the finished effort.

Nice stout bench. I built a work bench using doubled-up 2x4 construction, frame and a solid core door for the top. Put melamine on top of the door and it's been the best work bench I've ever owned.

Yours should give you many years of good service. And when the melamine wears down, replace it and BINGO, new bench all over again.
