Loader Brush Forks

Got a project that you are working on that is not a tractor? Maybe a barn to hold your tractors or just fun stuff like woodworking, glass, tools, sheds, gardens, custom implements, etc., this is the place to talk about it.

Loader Brush Forks

Postby Winfield Dave » Mon May 04, 2015 8:24 am

On a regular basis we are cleaning up tree branches and tops from downed trees or firewood logs.
I had been thinking about making a set of brush/debris forks for some time now to make the job easier.

Initially they were going to be a stand alone device using the 2 normal loader attachment pins,
similar to my boom pole and pallet forks.
Instead, designed them to slip over the loader bucket cutting edge and anchor with two 1/2" bolts in the rear.

They work really well. Branches can be scooped off the ground without leaving the seat. :D

Conveniently, there is a chain hook welded to the top of my bucket in the center.
A short piece of heavy chain hooked to it and thrown over the top of the load acts as a hold-down for unruly branches or when transporting a long distance.

Some more testing needs to be done before the paint gets added.

I'd like one, with a hydraulic thumb!

Ed...My design for the stand-alone version was probably going to have a manually operated "claw" (thumb) pivoting from the top.

Had to do some branch cleanup today, so I got some pics of the painted forks before I roughed them up.
