These are Shott metal chairs manufactured by the Burbank Mfg. Company in Cleveland, Ohio in the early 1950's. My daughter picked them up for my wife Pat. Took them totally apart - sandblasted 5 layers of paint off. The original color was brown. I primed and painted, using SS bolts for assembly. I've now taken the 2nd one apart.
I've had this Sears wheelbarrow for 30 years. It was a gift from my parents when we built our home in 1985. The handles broke a few years ago and it just kind of sat there rusting away. I decided to purchased the new handles, make the wedges for under the tub, bought some new bolts and here we are. Ace IH Blue and and Rust-O-Leum Crimson Red. There is something about Red and Blue

Clint - the young man at the hardware store thought it quite silly that I would spend $40 on handles - when I could but a brand-new one for about the same. I gave the lad an education on why I'd spend the 40 bucks to buy Oak handles Made in the USA to repair it rather than scrap it. Don't think he understood.

Re: Two Finished Projects
He probably wouldn't understand why one would continue to repair, maintain and use a 65 year-old tractor either, when you could just buy a new one. Some people don't get it.

Re: Two Finished Projects
Picture of the remanufactured wheel barrow got me to thinking - what happened to my grandfather's wheel barrow. Number of years ago I put new handles on and repaired the wheel barrow. Didn't paint it up because we were still using it. Guessing, that today the wheel barrow would be close to 100 years old.
The wheel barrow was probably sold with my parents estate.
Any way, I still have and use some tools, as well as a tractor, my grandfather owned. Memories.
Edit. Still thinking about the wheel barrow. Originally it had a steel/metal wheel which was later replaced with a pneumatic tire and tube.

I have an excuse. CRS.
