Dedicated snow blade from Cub dozer blade.

Got a project that you are working on that is not a tractor? Maybe a barn to hold your tractors or just fun stuff like woodworking, glass, tools, sheds, gardens, custom implements, etc., this is the place to talk about it.

Flipped blade over , added rubber wear edge and 20ga galv extension.

Blade trip stop spring tied back to elivator so when blade trips and sping tension is exceeded blade is lifted ( hydraulics in float mode).
Removed stock under bracket spring.

2 Hillman ps2 springs provide trip resistance.

The old 1/2 " pins with cotter pins were replaced with 1/2" bolts and bronzes bushings.

Image

Blade upright stop is some 5/8 allthread and some bushing washers. The bracket had to be radiused to clear for trip.

Image

The blade brackets themselves were not intended to have opposing upper or lower holes used , the brackets had to be gently persuaded.

This modification should make plowing a nicer experience, I know mine did. No more hitting something solid and getting jolted or causing possible damage to your tractor. Below is a link to my modification.
