The Rocky Mountain Cubfest-just one week away now

Postby Bob McCarty » Sat Aug 05, 2017 4:11 pm

is just over a month away (Sept 7-9). If you haven't told your wife you're taking her west to see Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone, Canyonlands, the Grand Canyon, Great Sand Dunes, and Mesa Verde (with a short weekend layover in Longmont, CO.) you'd better get busy. :D Hope to see lots of you here next month.

Reservations are made at the Super 8. I guess that can only mean one thing.
It is common sense to take a method and try it. If it fails, admit it frankly and try another. But above all, try something.

Bob sorry to say the Oklahoma group will not be able to attend this year. Other commitments will prevent us from making the trip. Hope everyone has a great time.

If Hurricane Harvey doesn't blow me away here in New Orleans, then Dallas, I will try to get out there! Had a GREAT time last time! My sister suggested checking flights from Tennessee, then they could dawdle as much as they wanted on this roadtrip back to NC...poaching roadside plants and rocks!! We'll see how it goes...I REALLY want to go!

Looks like I'll be there on Friday with my Cub. I'd love some help replacing transmission seals - with proper gear oil level and no water, I have a steady oil seep out of both sides from the final drives. It's definitely the fresh gear oil coming from the transmission.

...and if anyone knows of a snow plow that will fit a '52, I'm interested.

Looking forward to seeing everyone and their machines!

Just one week away now. If you haven't let me know you're attending, please do, so my wife can plan meals.

Thanks, Bob
