Just a reminder about the 1st annual West Michigan CubFest

Postby meandmydeere » Thu May 31, 2018 7:19 am

The show is just around the corner. The weather is going to be great. Low 80's and no rain in the forecast. For those of you that might be coming, I have a project tractor that doesn't have compression. I think if we tow it around that problem will be fixed. There is no wiring harness on it or hood but I'll have all the parts. I just need to paint the front rims and get the tires mounted so i can winch it on the trailer.
Remember. free camping to exhibitors. The Cub family will be in an area separated from the rest of the tractors in a shady area center court.
Please think about attending, it's always a good time. Food on the grounds. restrooms with showers close by. Flea market and if you have parts to sell, yhey are welcome. I'll have Fram filters and some other stuff for sale. If you have parts that are just parts and you want to sell them but not have to watch over them all day, we have a parts corral where one of our members does the selling and we keep 10% to do that.
Hope to see a few of you there.

Mark, what kind of a turnout did you have at your 1st annual Cubfest? I really felt like I let you down by not attending. It just ended up being the only weekend we could move our daughter to the Columbus, Ohio area so she could start her new job with Amazon. Two weekends prior we spent the weekend looking for housing for her. I'd love to see some pictures and hear about it.

I was wondering also.
It is common sense to take a method and try it. If it fails, admit it frankly and try another. But above all, try something.

This Cub Fest sounded like a smaller version of Red Power Roundup. Are all CubFests similar in size and content? I just thought it was some people getting together and helping each other and having a good time. I need to make time and come to one soon.

Chase, CubFest come in all sizes. Some draw 70 people or slightly more. Others, because of there location will draw maybe 10 or 12. Then there are those in between. The intent behind a CubFest is to help others with their repairs and to meet other Cub owners. If course repairs do not have to be part of the reason. Just meeting others is reason enough. Thanks Bill. Yeah I just didn't realize they could get that large or so much would be happening at one (parts corral, parts vendors, camping, etc.) Hope to go to Deep South or Louisiana Cub Fests soon.

The one meandmydeere was talking about was a Cub gathering as part of a much larger show/event put on by the Antique Farm Power Club (http://www.antiquefarmpowerclub.biz/) which would explain the parts corral, vendors, and so on.

I'm surprised we haven't heard anything about the first years event by now. Did anybody from the forum go?
