There is a DD just two or so miles away in town. I brought up a rented charcoal grille so if you want do do eggs & bacon, it's there. There is no charcoal yet. I'm bringing it up tomorrow & I should be back around 12 or 1.

What a great day! I have to say, on the way up to Zagray, I kina felt like I would be the "outsider" being very new at the Cub game. I was welcomed with open arms by everyone! My hat is off to Cecil & Peter who were the first to roll up their sleeves & get going on my Cub which hasn't run in at least 20 years. A quick once over & I had a list & was on my way to NAPA (only 3 miles away). I met Bigdog & the ever enthusiastic ConnecticutKIT and BlackJeep. Again, all great guys!!
In no time, we had the '59 tuned up. Wait till you see the pictures of the points  The carb was a bit of a nightmare inside. We did the best with what we had & put it back on. I happend to forget to bring my new sediment bowl for the new tank (the pictures of the old one are quite, ummm, interesting   ). No matter what we tried, the old carb refused to work properly. Everyone got cleaned up & we tried to call it a day but every time I walked by my '59, Cecil would ask "what are you looking at? Lets get her going! We must have cleaned up 3 or 4 times. After one more clean up, Cecil got frustrated. We borrowed the bowl from the "power project" & he yanked the carb off his Cub. SHAZAM!!!!!! She purrs like a kitten after sitting 20 or so years! What a fantastic sound after sitting idle for so long! It was a little smoky at first but it was probably from all the Kroil going down the hatch when the engine was stuck. We started it again after 10-15 minutes & there was little smoke. Still some kroil I suspect & perhaps the rings will loosten up a bit.
See you tomorrow!!!!

I was there on Friday and met CTDave, Cecil, Kit, Peter and what a great bunch to talk with even though i only own a Int 154 right now, after all we all share the same interests.

Any updates on the cub power supply? Is it running or doing ok?

I'm sorry i missed saturday and maybe sunday too at the fest and it looks like you guys are still having a blast too.

I was hoping the cubfest would draw a crowd too with the spring startup at the farm. I been hoping to hear rumors of a fall cubfest at the farm too maybe a fall cubfest/october fest?? Or should i say october feast for the cubfest guys? If they do a fall cubfest i'd bring all my cub cadets/cub toys for sure. Its slowly turning into my little tonka construction company. Maybe my jeep tractor will show up too who knows. She's a heavy one but i can trailer it.

Trust me from what i seen and who i met already there's a great group of cub guys here in the east too. They made me feel really welcome too.
BigBill

PS; That "IH" on the cub power supply frame that me and Kit fabricated says it all. That is farmall red paint i got from TSC too, after all its farmall red when no other red will do..........
