On the other side of the coin. I had a local gentleman stop over last night to buy a plow. He's lives about 2 miles down the road. Now here's what is kind of cool. He bought his 48 Cub in 1953. He's had his first Cub 57 years!!!!! He will be bringing it over. All original, never painted and never left outdoors over night. His name is Jim Craig and he was in awe when I told him about these Cubfests and is looking forward to his first Cubfest!

Does someone have an air chisel? To remove a bolt head that is just too rusty to turn. Maybe shifting forks for the transmissioon. My tractor flipped on its back trying to move the frigging thing by myself and broke the shifter off and it is stuck. Tough to get help moing stuff in the evenings...

I have some "messed up bolt" sockets, that hammer onto the messed up bolt head, and usually get them out. I'll bring them. Ed

No welder here, we need to run a new electric service to the shop. It is on the short list of things to do.

Yes, but we'll try Ed's socket set first.

Working :( On the up side the first round of winter lay offs happened today and I wasn't one of them. Not much of an up side for the 7 people that were laid off in this economy

Sorry to hear about the layoff... many years ago I remember when my employer laid off a bunch of folks... in alphabetical order. I survived, but there was about 1500 people there when I started and I think only the name survives now. Most of their customers are in the same boat (gone). But they do still make shoelaces in RI.

I was thinking of bringing my oxy torch (wee little one) for disassembly of the front end. I have some welding rod too. I will try to be sure to load it up (the list is getting longer).

Larry, we have an oxygen acetylene torch that you're welcome to use. Expecting a fight with the font end?

Yep... but I have only half hardheartedly tried to get it apart. It's my fault, I recently claimed I never broke a radiator bolt  not too smart.

Joe, I am loading up momentarily... I think I will even remember the snow plow part for you.... and the Mercury key.
