I went out to the field today during lunch and is wasn't muddy on the high side. There is a high and a low side to the field.

I walked out across the high side and nothing stuck to my feet, it was just soft soil.

The low side has standing water though.

I've been looking at the extended forecast and it looks pretty dismal. Just got to hope they're wrong. Crops are going to be very late going in around here, it's late April and I haven't seen a tractor in the field anywhere.

I,m looking at the axtended forcast here and I thinking planting may be delayed here until mid May. We had some ground planted in the low areas next to the river that just got flooded out on Thursday afternoon.

I will be there on Saturday with the 23A disk

If you can get me two days off of work and a $300 gas card, I'll bring a plow and my finished fast hitch planter!

It'll be a homecoming of sorts for the planter, seeing as it used to belong to BigMatt and all.

After looking at the forecast, I am going to call off a full blown planting session. If we get a couple of dry days, we should have a couple of good acres to work. Everyone is still welcome to come, and I will be there on Friday and Saturday to work the field.

Best case scenario, we get a few dry days, and we can get 2 acres worked up and one acre planted. Any help will be welcomed and appreciated.
