Upper Midwest (Cheesy) Cubfest is coming up!

Postby Hengy » Mon Apr 11, 2011 10:46 am

Hey all... With Deep South Cubfest and Docfest, and Virginia (Boss Hog) fest almost a memory, I guess it is time for the Cheesy Cubfest in the upper midwest. Looks like the second weekend in May is going to be a busy Cubber weekend. Barnyard is having his bash in Ohio, and the Wisconsin folks are going to be festing in Hixton!

This year, we will be doing field work with our cubs, and if you have a sickle mower, regular mower, plow (any kind), blade, loader or disk, you will have a GREAT time playing in the field. I have had one member ask me to help with refitting his final drives and getting them switched over on his tractor, and we are going to try to get that done. With a bunch of helpers, we should be able to knock that out in a hurry so he can play in the dirt, too!

The fest is May 13 and 14 this year. The nice thing is it is NOT Mother's Day weekend this year!! I'm looking forward to seeing familiar faces at the fest, and to shaking the hands of new friends at the get-together. Keep your fingers crossed for great weather this year!!

If you are thinking about attending the fest, please feel free to respond here and let me know...I'd like to get a handle on the food stuff for the group!

Not purposefully, Peter... just being uncharacteristically brief!!

Todd, I can't wait! I know you will be giving it the old college try to get it ready in time. Are you going to be able to bring your rake, too? I am getting psyched...

In reading Mike's post I believe he was talking about Cubfests on the second weekend of May.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Really what I was doing was not intended to insult anyone. It was intending to try to bring attention to the Upper Midwest Cheesy Cubfest...

My apologies to anyone whose feet I stepped on...

Since coming back from Boss' place in Virginia, I am even more psyched about the get-together. I just love hanging around and talking and working on and with cubs!! Gonna be a fun year again!
