Barnyard Bash V - June 1 & 2, 2012

Postby Barnyard » Sun Sep 18, 2011 10:45 pm

I have always had to try to schedule the Bash in May and avoid Mothers Day weekend, Portland Indiana's swap meet weekend and Memorial Day weekend. It was never an easy thing to do in advance since I always had to wait on Portland to announce their date. This year, to avoid those three weekends I wold have had to have the Bash the first weekend in May. It is still somewhat cool and rainy then.

I kicked around an idea with some of the guys at CI and came up with a solution that works real well for Rosie and me. The other fellas liked my idea and feel it would work out well for everybody also.

The Barnyard Bash will now move from rotating dates and be held the weekend after Memorial Day. That means the Barnyard Bash V will be June 1 and 2, 2012. Since there has been no Ohio CubFest/Family Reunion in June the last few years and no one has shown an interest in hosting one in the future, some of the Ohio guys liked the move. It makes it simpler to remember, it puts it into better weather, and it makes it easier on Rosie and I.

We hope to see you all here again!
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

That's great, Barnyard, nothing like a good 700 mile road-trip, so don't be surprised if I show up !

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.
