Cubfest NE Project

I have been thinking about doing an engine rebuild on Betsy for a while. I have a spare block and crank so the rebuild can be done and then the engine installed. My question to attendees is. Would anyone like me to have the block bored and the crank turned and then do the rebuild and the fest. If not I will try to get it done sooner.

I, for one, would like to see that happen.

I think it would make a great Cubfest project, and be helpful to attendees who might be wanting to do it, but were afraid to try it.. Ed

Cecil has a device in the shop, that sucks out the cold, like Barnyard's "dark suckers", that remove the darkness, from his barn. Works well! We insulated the back room of the shop, last year, because the cold kept sneaking back in. Cozy in there, during winter! Ed

Cecil, i have a couple of 154 blocks that don't require boring, if you want ot go that route. they need bearings, valve work and probably rings. a polished crank would be good. i have a couple of sets of valves all reground.

it would be easy to do a motor job at cubfest. let me know if i can help

Art I have a spare crankshaft that I can have turned and a spare block. Let me check my bucket of pistons to see if I have any over sized. If not I"ll take the offer of the block and valves. That way I won't have to get pistons. Are you offering to oversee the rebuid?

I hope Art offers to oversee the project, and NOT volunteer to bring the weather! Ed
