Cub-Arama is on its way - info and questions

Postby JP Tractor » Thu Aug 23, 2012 1:00 pm

Hi everyone. Time is flying by and cub-arama is loudly knocking on my door! Just want to post a few reminders, little show info and a few questions.

Show Book and name button deadline is September 15. The sooner you have yours in the better, but you are always welcome to email me the info if you only find out at last minute you can make it or just show up and join us - you won't be disappointed !

Friday Dinner - the parents of my and Johns Scout Troops have agreed to host the dinner for us again. This year we are in for a treat. There will be smoked pork steaks or chicken breast, greenbean/potatoes, salad, drink and dessert - YUM. We are trying to find a place that will be large enough for all of us, but not costly. If not we will have the picnic tables for dinner in the park again.

Tractor cruise - need a little feed back on the cruise over by the school and nursing home, the one to the winery or out along the city lake on the outskirts of town. Is there prefered route? How many enjoy or would go on another this year?

Tractor Parade - I know we don't have a lot of town interest in it, but I sure like seeing the line up wrap around the park almost in a full circle back to the court house. Just wanted to see if anyone had any suggustions to get this going a bit better. ANything you have seen work well elsewhere? Saturday is a big soccer day in our area - thinking of changing the route to drive by the soccer part to show off all the tractors we have in town.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again and hope to see many new faces of those who havn't made it out yet. This is Show # 11 !! Wow a full decade of Cub-Aramas'

Jamie

Jamie -- I'll get the registration form/check in the mail this weekend.

This will be my first Cub-Arama. I'm bringing "Walter" my '48 Cub with the Grosshart Posthole Digger. Looking forward to seeing you all. Fredericktown is my wife's hometown, so for her, it's like going home. :D

Thanks for the reminder Jamie, it was sneaking up on me. I plan to be there, but not sure which rig I will bring. I haven't missed a Cubarama yet, but one of them I was on crutches and only there for one day. :D

Cub-Bud hope the whole family is able to come with you this year.

Stanton, it will be nice to meet you. Funny how small the world is, you get to come to a tractor show where your wife is from

John, it wouldnt' be the same without you flying by on your scooter or how to clinic help you provide.

See everyone soon. Who else is planning on making the trip. We LOVE to see everyone who makes it, but there have been a couple missing the few years the I hope are up for the trip this year :D

Yes, I will try to ask everyone when they check in if they want dinner tickets.
We will have the dinner on block south of the courthouse at the K of C hall (they have a pancake breakfast there on Saturdays on the Show weekend) that way we don't have to worry with the weather.
Thanks

I'm also planning on coming up. Will be bringing 2 cubs, a 49 f-Cub and a 55 Lo-boy. These aren't show tractors by any means but working tractors. Both run well but have minor (hopefully) issues and I'm needing an experienced cubber to point/push me in the right direction on fixes. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.
If there is a wrong way to do it, I'll find it.

GWrider...some of the best FCUB mechanics will be there...no doubt you will get pointed/pushed in the right direction.

Maybe Harley will show up! :D
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

It seems this year, I haven't been able to get out much and am very anxious to be attending my first Cub-Arama this year!
Unfortunately though, I don't think I'll be bringing a Cub....just the mini van and stroller.
