Let the games begin. I wonder if they have anything stocked in that pond?

Being from the coal mine country I have some C4 explosives layed back Joe. We can just walk around the bank and pick them up once the water settles back down. :D

Dale, the cabin is a off season hunting rental in the direction of South Boston from Bosses place.
About 6 of the guys rented it last year during the event. On Friday evening some of us joined together for some hand gun practice although Mr. Redfin didn't need any. He's some kind of pro with shooting, kind of like a card shark of some type.
He's faster than greased lightning, must have been a gun slinger in a past life I'd bet....

Later on there was some type of cook off between North and South... I'm thinking I won that event with a real full belly.

But the seafood jambalaya was made in RI! Seems to have met the approval of the 'bayou boys' from down LA way.

I will try to remember to bring some Portuguese churico sausage.... now that's good stuff!

I am gonna join Y'all this year. I been looking for some fresh TN roadkill opossum I can throw in the freezer. My persimmons did not make last year, cause of a freeze, so they have been kinda scarce. :big afro:

Somehow I think 'fresh roadkill' from the volunteer state may not be fresh once it gets to Virginia . I had a possum eating my grapes last year and those things are ugly enough to be left to the vultures (buzzards are a European bird of prey, not to be confused with vultures).

Redfin is a slinger for sure, however gun was not the word that comes to mind.

i'll have to come to redfins defense , please understand , sometimes he has to defend his southern honor . i was present at some of the shenanigans at the cabin ( albeit ,late in the game ) . i think both "camps" conducted themselves in an honorable , if not cordial and gentlemanly fashion . i hope that i can get some more of the "best" maple syrup again, as my supplies have dwindled to 2 inches in the bottom of the second jar. with all due respect , coppersmythe............................ps: i am more than happy to trade some 9-12 count fresh gulf shrimp for said maple syrup  .

Like I always say.... never judge a man by his license plates.

I am beating my head against the wall for Maine to even acknowledge Rufus Ingalls... dang yankquis! PGT Beauregard's (Louisiana's finest first assignment was at Ft Adams here in the big city. And George Pickett named his dog after Rufus.

Nuttin better than good people, and ya'll count as great people.

For shrimp (my favorite) I will gladly bust out the cabin fever, maple syrup and even the Crown Royal Maple in the velvet bag..... My long time friend lives near Cecil and I will be sure to grab some maple when I am over there for the mini-fest.
