MiniFest in the Jungle

Well, actually we had a minifest in

Some of the Ohio and Indiana members got together to visit Jungle Jim's today. It took us two and a half hours to go through the store to gather our goodies (yes, it can take at least that long just for the short tour).

If you ever get to the Cincinnati area this is a place you have to visit. The ladies with us today agreed it needs to be a side trip for the woman when they attend the upcoming Barnyard Bash.

Our trip started off with Jeff Silvey showing us the two fingers he recently tried to dispose of with his power saw.

The first stop was to get ready for the long walk. The restroom fronts can be pretty deceiving. They cut the backs out of porta-johns and mounted them to the walls in front of the restroom doors.

Everybody gathered to plan the strategy.

Gary Dotson (L) and Larry Gray (R) took a minute to take in the surroundings and there was a lot to take in.

DSCF has it's great catfish dinner but Gary and I were thinking of something different for the Bash!

After a long and exhausting field trip it was time to head for the Golden Corral for a great lunch. I wasn't game for desert but after watching Denny and Candy Clayton enjoying their's I was convinced it was time for me to attempt to empty the ice cream machine. In the photo we have (L-R) Denny Clayton, Cindy Gray, Regina Dotson, Gary Dotson, Jeff Silvey, Larry Gray, Candy Clayton and Rosanne Weisbrodt.

I think we all had a great day!

Yes, it was a lot of fun! Thanks for posting the pics, Bill! We've talked for a while about having this little get together and finally just set a date and got er done. I've never seen a grocery store even close to the size of that place. The cheese dept. alone is as big as our little local grocery store. There's also lots of antique stuff on display, giving the guys a lot of stuff to look at, while the ladies do their thing. A nice get together with a few of the gang!

Note to Gary: When you take a bite of that Peppered Salami make sure you have a fully charged fire extinguisher nearby. Not recommended to eat with Pepperjack Cheese.

Bill, I was going to ask if you had tried that salami yet! I've been eating it but I ended up peeling most of the pepper off of it. The first bite was memorable!
