Re: KANSAS Cubfest
Ok, that was fuuuuuun!! And those beans!! And those tractors! What a great group of guys!
I learned a lot just by watching. The experts were peeling parts open like onions and that was clearing up stuff that people on here were describing. Now I'm gonna rip my tractor apart! (Ok, maybe not) But I am definitely encouraged to take on some tasks that gave me ... well ... "pucker factor" is the best I can describe it.
Thanks muleboss, Ike and the rest of the crew!

Re: KANSAS Cubfest
Thank you to all who attended the Kansas Cubfest today!! Everyone seemed to have a good time.
Forum members attending were muleboss, Ike, midmo, Arthur Luke, farmertan, jpcubs, alfreema, Stanton, charlespretzer, and Cubfriend. Several local folks attended as well.
On behalf of all attending, I'd like to thank muleboss for providing the location and shop facilities and his wife for providing the pot of beans to go with our lunch once again.
I'll post pictures tomorrow.

Re: KANSAS Cubfest
Question: When you guys tested the starter did you use a 6v or 12v battery? I assumed the original 6v starters can handle 12v without any issues -- is that a bad assumption?

Re: KANSAS Cubfest
Charles and Aaron,
It was good meeting and visiting with you yesterday. I hope you can come again next year.
Not a bad assumption. Most 6v to 12v conversions do not change the starter.
I was always told not to crank for long periods to keep it from overheating.

Why wait a year? You can drive 5 hours and attend the Mid Missouri Cubfest in a couple of weeks or drive to Ohio the end of the month for the Barnyard Bash. Both are great CubFests, they just have different people.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Re: KANSAS Cubfest
I'd like to thank Ike along with Bob and Joyce (The beans were awsome) for the good lunch and the great place for a Cubfest. I had a great time and look forward to another Kansas Cubfest in the future. I met lots of new people and got reaquainted with some of the people from past Cubfests. There was a great display of tractors to look at. Thanks to all for the education. I learned several new things. I won't be putting my mag springs in the wrong way now! Until I can make it to another Cubfest or Cubarama, Catch you later, Frank

Re: KANSAS Cubfest
A big "THANK YOU" to muleboss and Ike for co-hosting this year's Kansas Cubfest! The hospitality was awesome and worth the drive. It was great to see some friends again and meet new ones. Glad the weather cooperated and we had a perfect day.
BTW muleboss: Glad I bought the complete drag bar setup. Got home and confirmed that I needed both pieces.

I'd love to but it takes an act of Congress for me to get away!

Joe,
Your name came up at least once when Bob told about your "flaming" entrance to the first Kansas Cubfest.
