Louisiana Cubfest 2015

Postby mvhighcrop » Tue Dec 09, 2014 9:19 pm

In less than 3 months it will be time to have a Cubfest in Louisiana once again. The event will be held on March 6th and 7th, 2015 in Bogalusa La. at Buddy & Hope Banks' place. We are looking forward to seeing everyone and doing a lot of Cub tinkering. This will be here before we know it, so start making plans to come and share a great weekend in south Louisiana. Also be thinking about what repairs you need to have done and send them on in so we can get them on the schedule. More info will soon follow about accommodations and other plans. If you have any questions, feel free to call us at 985-732-3950.
Thanks,
Buddy & Hope

The hotlink on the CUBFESTS AND GATHERINGS CALENDAR FOR 2014 for the LA CUBFEST 2015 does not work for me, DSCF and Barnyard Bash works OK. Stan

EDIT: I found out the IHC31.com website is down is the reason. THANKS, BUDDY! :D

Can't hardly wait to get there, Buddy. Hope you have a lot of work for me and Skeet to do. I'll bring Edenfield along to clean up after we are finished.

Hello everyone. I am new to this forum, though I have been reading through all of it for a few months now. I would like to bring my cousin's 1970 International Cub to the Louisiana Cub Fest. It has a surgging problem. After reading a few threads on the forum, I decided the first thing to do was clean the carb good. So I gave it a Berryman's soak and blew it out real good. Did a rebuild kit from Stiener and put it all back together. Adjusted the float too. Well, it did not perform any better after all of that. I figure the next thing to do is tackle the governor. I would like to get together with someone who has gone through one before to make sure I don't mess anything up. I was reading Boutwell's post on tearing the governor down that I may need the rock shaft bearing and seal. I figured I would order these and have them on hand to replace if needed. I would also like to go through the linkage setup from throttle to governor to carb to make sure I am getting full power and range of speed as well. Thanks in advance for the help. This forum has been extremely educational already. I'm also looking forward to seeing your cub collection Mr. Buddy.

By the way, using the cub for gardening. Made my rows with it last year and I hope to get it setup for cultivating this year, once I get the surging under control :)

Daniel V, welcome to the forum! Ran across your 1st post this morning and wanted to welcome you!

I'm sure the gang down in Louisiana will be glad to have you and take a look at the '70 Cub. You might keep doing some research on the forum; search for "surging" or "governor" and I'm sure you'll find a lot of great info. You may get it fixed before the CubFest. If not, they should be able to lend a helping hand.

Welcome!

Well, looks like I've beat back the scheduling gremlins and managed to get time off for another fest. After 25 years, you wouldn't think i'd be this tough, but I've finally cracked the code. Might be able to add another fest or two now. 8) See you folks in a few weeks! :{_}:

Only one week left until the LA Cubfest. We are about ready to go. All I think we need is some good weather. I hope we don't have to call Billy Ray out of weatherman retirement, but we might. Hope to see everyone soon.
Thanks,
Buddy & Hope
