DSCF 2015

Postby Mr E » Mon Feb 16, 2015 8:09 am

Mrs. Mary and I, along with Billy Ray, Tim, Jim and Raymond want to express our appreciation to everyone that came to make the weekend a great success. We had a wonderful time visiting with old friends and making some new ones.

Looks like all the projects got done, plus a few extra.

Thanks to all who traveled long distances to be with us. Weather was great, albeit a bit cool early in the mornings. Roger did a wonderful job keeping the fire going. :worthy:

Can't wait till next year. I have not yet done an inventory, but haven't seen any strange tools yet. I do have a grill for a cub that was in the back of the shop????

Thanks again!

The DSCF crew.

Forgot to mention the pictures made by Matt and Angela. As soon as they have time to get them uploaded, I will post a link so you can check them out. May take a few days, but keep a look out for them.

Roy--many thanks to y'all for a SUPER weekend--couldn't believe how the time flew. We all thank you and Mary, Jim, Tim, Billy Ray, Raymond and the whole crew for opening up your shops for us to learn and fix stuff. A GREAT Cubfest as usual!

I second what everyone else has said! Great old friends, great food (as usual) working on cubs, great food, meeting new friends and did I mention that we had great food! The hosts and hostess as usual did an outstanding job.

I had to fix my own breakfast this morning because of the layer of ice on my truck, driveway and street. Looks like that I will be confined to quarters for a few days. Not supposed to get above freezing all of this week.

As a side note, found out another nickname for someone who was there. We already have a "BUCKET HEAD" now it seems that there is also a "PEAHEAD". I'm not telling, you have to figure this out for yourself.

How bout this grill?

Also, if anyone finds an extra caliper in their tool box, might be mine. In a black plastic case. I'm still looking.

I'm thinking that grill was off Leo's cub that had the cracked head?

Thanks everyone that made the trip to have a good time with us over the weekend. I'm always happy to see the different projects that show up each year for everyone to see how things can be fixed. Stan's hood patch was another good one this year, as well as the proper way to remove the head from LeoM's Cub with some badly rusted bolts without breaking any. Thanks to everyone that jumped in to give a hand, this is what these get togethers are all about, and it let me get out of the shop a time to two to refill my cup of boiled peanuts before Bob ate them all!
Already making arrangements and looking forward to next year!

The grill does belong to LeoM.

I too would like to thank all the folks that came and made DSCF 2015 another good one. I sure do look foward to them every year and they seem to go by faster and faster.

Also I would like to thank everybody that helped out fixing my junk and
a HUGE thanks to all that helped prepare the food and cook the food. BR and I could not have gotten it done with out your help.

We are already making some plans for next year......it will be here before you know it!!

PS .. Mr Ron it is bean head not pea head.... I am not going to tell who he is though :D :D

Everyone has already said everything but I have to chime in and echo Roy and Tim and Raymond's sentiments. I don't know how these things get better every year but somehow they do. I just wish I had more time to visit but someone has to do the work so others can socialize.

Maybe someone could explain why BR kept walking around with that oversize coffee filter on his head. :?
