A big thanks to all at Shallow Creek Farm!

Postby Barnyard » Sun Oct 18, 2015 9:41 pm

The Shallow Creek Farm MiniFest wasn't so mini. Two months ago I had thought it might be limited to those within a couple hours drive, but that changed quick. Kevin Ketcham, Bill Darr, Don & Jo B (Charlston WV), and Bill Hudson each drove around four hours or so to attend. We had 27 folks in attendance over the weekend to enjoy Cub fun. Several were new to a CubFest and all said they hope to attend another. It was cold at night, but that just made the fire that much better. The day time temps were quite tolerable so we didn't have much to complain about. Gary gave an excellent demonstration on the use of a stroboscope that was interesting for those who have never seen one. A few Cubs were tinkered with and a lot of stories and food filled the remainder of the day.

Thanks to everybody who showed up, Rosie and I are blessed to have you all as friends.

Bill, a big thanks to you & Rosie, for putting this on! A good time was had by all. I was pleased to see several new faces, sure hope to see them all again. We were pretty light on the project side of things, but I think all the socializing made up for it. A very nice get together!

Another big thank you to Bill and Rosie!
Jo and I enjoyed meeting everyone and had a great time. This was a very warm and welcoming group of people.
Being new to Cubs, I have a lot to learn and I got many of my questions answered. We could tell that there was an amazing amount of talent in attendance.
We hope to see you all again soon.

Don, we held your chairs hostage. You have to come again.

Seriously, it was great meeting you and Jo. We will get the chairs to you at another event. They are safe here.

Haha! Sorry about that. We were too far down the road when we remembered the chairs.
Well get 'em next time!
Thanks again!
