2016 Bigdog's Buckeye Cub Tug is ready to kick off

Postby 1541 » Tue Jul 26, 2016 8:52 pm

We had our first official visitors today. Barnyard and Rosie stopped by today and dropped off a trailer. Bigdog and I started moving Cubs out to the front yard and we have had a couple of local folks stop by to see what was going on.

We are ready to getter going!

I'll see everyone Friday, hopefully before lunch. I'll be bringing the '57 I had at the Bash. Gonna try rebuilding the touch control and pump. And take another crack at getting that dogleg hole cleaned out.

And in case I can stick around and participate in the Tug, how much of a difference in performance do wheel weights make? I have them off at the moment for a lighter load, but I might should get them back on if I'm gonna be tuggin'!

I don't think you will see much difference. The Cubs always seem to power out before they spin out. And from past Cub Tugs it appears that turf tires do as well as ag tread.

Looking forward to seeing you again.

Thanks,

I thought I recalled observing that or hearing it said at last year's Tug. I'll probably leave the weights off, you know, in case I have to unexpectedly haul home something heavy.
