Shallow Creek CubFest

Postby Barnyard » Sun Aug 28, 2016 9:24 pm

We plan to have a MiniFest in the barnyard on October 1st. Due to a previous commitment (which I forgot) I had to cancel the September date.

The plan is to have early arrivals all day Friday if they wish (we could play around with Cubs or whatever), have a full day Saturday for Cub stuff and campers can stay over until Sunday. Just as last year, we will provide a meal on Saturday while Friday everyone would be on their own.

Electric (20 amp) is available for campers and campers are welcome to stay over until Sunday morning if they wish. A campfire (weather permitting) will be on the agenda for Friday and Saturday nights.

Please let us know if you can make it so we can order enough food. Rosie and I hope to see many of you here.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Don,
I have a 1" tap I will bring. Ralph says this is the correct size.

Yes, Bill, that's the correct size, assuming it's not a power unit or number series manifold. I don't have pipe taps that large and was considering checking with my plumber buddy. You've got Don covered so I'll forget about it.

Gary, I have a neighbor needing a bit of carb work. Do you have any Carb tools? I have a 1/2-20 helicoil kit and jig as well as some other things

I throw in my IH carb with the warped top in case we can straighten it.

Many thanks to Bill and Rosie for the hospitality. Always a nice time (and the food - oh my gosh - the food).
My carb is looking good and my manifold has threads again. Thanks to Gary, Silvey and others for the help with the carb and to Bill Darr for the help with the manifold.
