Bill, it was a pleasure meeting you. I threw some paint on the step I bought from you...it will go on my '47 as soon as I get another coat or two of red on it. I'm hoping next year I will have a plow on my tractor so I can give it a try in that little field.

Again, it was nice meeting you.

The same goes here, it is always great to meet new forum members at the events.
It is common sense to take a method and try it. If it fails, admit it frankly and try another. But above all, try something.

I took my plow down to the garden plot and made a couple rounds to get it adjusted then asked if anyone wanted to try it. Never got it back till the whole plot was finished. Of course with 2 plows running that did not take long.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

I was there both Friday and Saturday, but didn't know about the plowing Friday, and I had to leave around 10:30 Saturday morning, so I never got the chance to even see the plowing, but did see the field Saturday morning.

I just wished I knew they were plowing and I would have asked to use a Cub to do some plowing. I have plowed several times with garden tractors at a few plow day events in the Marthasville, Missouri area, but haven't plowed yet with a Cub.

Glad you enjoyed it. I get enough time plowing around here that it is not that big a thrill for me. :P

Give me a holler, John. I'll come over and do some playing, er, I mean, plowing.

To believe it or not, there are garden tractor owners dying to find plow ground, to hold a plow day event at. The Pennsylvania plow day attracts about 200 garden tractors from several states, and there's plow day events all over, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, New York, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Alabama, just to name a few. Unfortunately, here in Missouri, we just can't find good plow ground or where the farmers will let us do some plowing. We try to have plow day events in the Marthasville area, but again, it's hard to set a date, with weather, crops being harvest, farmers going no-till, etc.

T-MO, when I am ready to plow I will get in touch with you. We need some rain first, then wait for it to dry a little. With the red clay in this ground it is not a good idea to plow it wet.
