504 Farmall

Postby Smokeycub » Wed Mar 21, 2018 2:36 pm

Hi fellas. I stumbled a cross a 504 Farmall row crop tractor on Craigs List. It looks decent, straight sheet metal, supposedly runs well, low hours, good rubber, wide front, factory 3 point, and a C 153 gas engine. It seems to compare stat wise with an M or Super M in regard to HP and weight although the engine is about 100 ci smaller. Being a '61 to '68 model year I suppose the HP is increased with compression, carburetor improvements, and timing, similar to the way of the C 60 over the years. I was curious about a couple things, 1) Does it have a live PTO? 2) Does it have a diff lock peddle? 3) What is something like that worth? It doesn't come with any attachments. He's asking what I think is a reasonable price - $3200.

Thanks - Ray :coffee:

I have a 504-U, and it has lpto, no diff. lock, no ta, (this unit never had one from factory!). -- the row crop version should have lpto. If in EXCELLENT condition, $3200 would be fair price! thanks; sonny

There’s a tricycle 504 with 3 point hitch on Craigslist near me for $4,500 so $3,200 does sound decent.

$3500, $4500 and $5000, in my neck of the woods, 2 wides and one tricycle, the 5k version is an international with the flat top fenders. I like the cheap one the best

Wouldn't you know, after two days the posting is gone. Usually they say "deleted by the author", this one is just gone. Oh well.
