Ok, I dont have any money but the ad said "or trade" so thats what I did! I had a peashooter I didnt like or use and this thing followed me home.
so its not a truck and not truly a tractor so we will call it a Tructor. no idea the year yet. haven't had time to make it run. it comes with a chevy inline six 250ci engine right around 107HP and a dually rear end I suspect is a dana 60. four speed trans and speeds of up to around 40mph. It has power steering as well. Its a Toro Parkmaster 7. no reels and one arm missing but I have no plans to restore it or mow with it. my plans include a dump bed , maybe a boom lift , maybe a 3 point hitch and possible a belly blade or a log splitter. Would be cool with a woods L306 72 in belly mower! it sports a hydraulic pump and 5 separate valves and cylinders on it. I really dont have much in it at all so its just a toy. I did have one expense and that involved the truck. (tow cost) I had a wee issue and had to have it dropped at the mechanics place. while it sat in his yard on the trailer no less than 3 people stopped to ask if it was for sale . its basically a factory built doodlebug. this type of tractor started with the Worthington company. They made similar units to these from many base brands, dodge and ford to name a few. Arnold Palmer used to have a penzoil commercial with an early version of one. these have been made in many configurations since the late 30s. early models had a dump bed.

Re: the strangest things follow me home....
I have found some info on these saying they have been around since the 20s. mine may be late 70s vintage. and a manual says 20mph, not 40. Everything from ford 8n, 9n, engines to continentals and even a 4 cyl perkins diesel powered these buggies. They were call the General Tractor back in the day. for something that was made for so many years info is scarce on these.
here are a few versions from bygone years

got the radiator replaced, new master cylinder and a brake line, it starts and stops and goes through the gears, clutch is sticky. drained the tranny of the water that was all that seemed to be in there, has some atf in it for now to clean it out. need to bleed the brakes one more time. then the rear axle will be checked for gear oil. runs good!
