Wheel traction device?

There is an interesting traction device or at least that is what I thing it is starting at 4:03. I tried posting a screen shot but apparently the file was too large. Maybe I was trying to post the whole video instead of just the screen shot, my computer skills aren't very great. I have never seen anything like it. Video only shows several tractors starting. Go to I think it was 6:45 to find a new use for your steering wheel?? :big give up: Vern

Here's another interpretation of the same idea. Skip to 2:30 to see it in action.

The tractor that uses the steering wheel to 'crank' it is a Lanz Bulldog. Another interesting bit of trivia is that you could use the steering wheel and a factory adapter to start a JD Model A, B, and G as well (I can't find any videos of anybody doing that).
