Yep. That rig can handle up to 6-8 inch trees, too.

Our son Erik had a forestry clearing contractor come in to clean out about 1 acre of their property last summer. Mostly Buckthorn and various bramble type brush. Left behind an apple tree, a pine of some sort, a couple of maples and an oak.
They showed up at 7:00am and were gone by noon. Four guys, two forestry mulchers, skid steer with brush grapple, and a stump grinder. Best $2,000.00 he ever spent!
He'll rent a Bobcat with a soil conditioner in the spring for a weekend to finish prepping.

Peter, I agree with the money well spent. We were charged 17 hours over two days at 65 an hour. It would have taken my brother and I months to do it by hand.

The tree guys in my area want $2,000 just to take down two dead oaks on my property.
I need your guys down here!

Don,

I was just quoted $1500 per day for that exact machine and implement. I have anywhere from 10-20 acres I'd like to do, that is likely 5-10 days of work. I honestly think I am going to buy a used rig, and either use it then sell it again, or just hang on to it over the years.

The mulching implement, alone, was $35,000. That included all the ROPS and armor plating.

For what those machines it costs, it looks slow!

Buy a track hoe and a grapple for it!
