Some days the tractor gods are brutal

Postby Carm » Mon Sep 27, 2004 10:17 pm

While using the 3414 backhoe to clean up from last week's rain and subsequent stream overflowing, a hard to get to hudraylic line blew. The hoe was (is) at full extension, and it is such a leak, I can't retract it. But thats not the issue. After much fighting and cussing, I pulled the rigid line and it side loaded the oil filter housing, causing the filter can bolt to break off in the housing. Now I have to find parts for that. But, I finally did get the line off. It will probably cost 8 billion dollars for a new one though. Oh well at least it didnt happen in the middle of winter!
