I believe a Wizard was sold by Western Auto. Like Sears they bought from other manufactures. Sounds like a nice machine. Ted

Is it a single wheel?

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

I have one. Came from EJP's aunt. I plow garden with it. The plow will only cut a furrow about 4" deep. Turn the turnbuckle on the plow so that the plow point is tipped up. That way you don't have to hold the plow up when moving it around. Reset the plow tip when you get to the garden.

The disk is to hard to handle so I pull the disk behind a Cub Cadet. I also have the sickle bar mower and cultivator.

If you need manuals for the tractor, or some implements I have them and will make copies.

Simplicity manufactured the machine.

Cub front weights or garden tractor rear weights fit those rims.

I bought a Sears 2 wheeled tractor for $15- because of the 26 lbs each wheel weights.

There is probably fluid in the tires. You may want to remove it.

Eugene, are you sure those were made by Simplicity? It shares a lot of traits with the Bolens Power Hoe, including the basic design of the machine, implement design and the implement attachment is identical to Bolens. Heck, even the kick stand is the same.

After being given the Wizard garden tractor, I spent quite a bit of time trying to find the manufacturer. The Bolens and Simplicity have the same basic design. The implements interchange. I could not find a 100% definite statement as to who made the Wizard for Western Auto.

I have a Bolens 2 wheeled garden tractor frame in the shop. I paid $10- for the Bolens frame because it had a sickle bar mower in pretty decent condition. A neighbor has a 2 wheeled Bolens.

I will get some photos. The major design difference is in the wheel drive mechanism.

Correction. I have a Wards Plow-Trac not a Sears 2 wheeled garden tractor.

Put the Wizard to work this morning. Cut a furrow/flap 500 feet long about 1 1/2 to 2" deep. Put a wire in the furrow then laid the flap back in place. Wire is for a radio frequency dog fence.

Eugene,
I picked up a 2 wheeled walk behind wizard. Looking to rebuild it. Suggestions on where to get parts and how to get my hands on an owners manual? Thanks!

Manuals may be available on line at the above site. I sent my manuals to Rudi years ago. He may have them on his server.

Parts are standard and available at your local auto parts store. Engine work will most likely be your biggest problem.

Thought before I post. The manuals only provided Western Auto parts numbers. Guess the thought was the owner would purchase the parts from the local Western Auto store and not go to the auto parts store and get the same parts, cheaper, and faster.
I have an excuse. CRS.
