IH 240 U

Postby Shopp'n Cubs » Thu Oct 07, 2004 8:35 am

What does anyone know about this model?

Looking at one (emails) but have not gone to look at it yet. What research I have done says steering was a weak point on the 240/340U's. Seller says steering is tight.

Do they have live? It does have power steering and a 3pt (after market?)

Cute little tractors, just would like to know a little more about them.

Thanks
Guy

Guy, I have a brother-in-law who has one. It is a nice little tractor. I think the problems with the front ends were those that were used with front end loaders.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Live hydraulics, no live PTO.
