Earthmaster - One of many brands that are often referred to as orphans or oddballs as there were not a lot of them made and they were made for a relatively short period of time. There seem to be a fair number of them around although they are far from common. I've never researched their history.

I think the rear wheel weights I have on my cub are from one, my Grandpa had another little red tractor for awhile... that as far as my childhood memory serves I halfway thought was an old Avery... upon stirring up memory banks with the internet I think it was an Earthmaser.

Standard Farm Tractors, C.H. Wendel: Earthmaster made 2 different models of 2 wheeled garden tractors as well as several models of the tractor pictured in the previous post.

Farm Equipment Guide: Lists 6 models of the farm tractor. Suggested list price was $1220- to $1330-.

No production numbers listed in either reference.

Edit: Farm Equipment Guide: Says the tractors weigh just over 2000 lbs. (2075 lbs to 2183 lbs)

Earthmaster tractors were originally made in the mid to late 1940's in California, stopped production, moved the tooling to Philadelphia, never made any tractors, moved the tooling to Statesville,NC and made tractors fo a few more years. Went out of business in the early 1950's . Somewhere around 3000-5000 were made. likely around a few hundred left. Somehow connected to Adel which makes aircraft valves and clamps. All red were Burbank, CA made and red with yellow grill and wheels were NC made. Same size as a cub, 1500 lbs. The engine was a continental 60 CID engine very similar to but not the same as a MH Pony and Allis Chalmers G. 8 models but really 2 basic model styles. High crop and regular.

All would lower by flipping the front spindles and rotating the final drives. Live hydraulics with built in remotes, 540 PTO, covered tool box, disc brakes, 3 guages, very easy to work on. Limited parts or implements available. Mine has a Hester or hillard disc plow that also will fit a cub.
