Fuel Tank Repair/RestorationHas anyone on this board ever used Tracy Pannbacker's Classic Gas Tanks in Gifford, IL for fuel tank repair and restoration

I've never used them, however have you checked your local radiator shop. There is one close to me that did a tank for me for $75.00. I don't really know if thats good or bad but it was local so I'm assuming that maybe it would be common for rad shops to be able to clean and red coat gas tanks. Bill
His price range is $45.00-75.00 plus return shipping. I am going to call him and get the price for an acid dip and liner put in my tank.

Hey Bud I just had a thought. How does he get around the shipping issue? I don't think used gas tanks can be shipped. Shipping to him wouldn't be a problem as you wouldn't be disclosing whats in the box. However if he is running a business repairing tanks that would be hard to hide on the outbound? Just curious? Bill

Not too sure about south of the border, but up here, ifn you have a declaration (should be a form from the courier/shipping companies) that the tank has been properly purged, shipping should not be too much of a problem. We get used Texas Tanks up here a lot. Yup, they is from Texas..... CB: Best and easiest solution is to check with a local radiator shop. Had mine done locally, bang up job on Ellie's tank. - Cost me $80.00 Cdn, so that would be about $65.00 US which is a darn good price. Plus no shipping hassles to worry about. Course now, this is just mi dos centavos.... whatever that is worth.. Confusion breeds Discussion which breeds Knowledge which breeds Confidence which breeds Friendship

I had My Cub tank repaired which had a 6"-long rust out hole and red coat sealed for a total of $75.00 at the local radiator shop in town. He did a super nice job and I was expecting that it would cost at least a hundred bucks.
Then came Bronson
