hi and I was wondering if a oliver 70 with the narrow front if it could pull a 4 bottom plow and if not tell me what size

An Oliver 70 is about a 22 - 23 HP tractor - around here 2 - 14's would be the limit.

2-14 was all our 70 would pull in 3rd gear in fall clover ground, AFTER my Dad put an overbore engine kit in it, but would pull day in and day out!----the 70 was the first real tractor I got to drive at age 8 and plow with a steel wheel rope trip IH plow! thanks; sonny

Mine, pulled 2 14's pretty handley.

Yours is the first I've seen with steelies front and rear. I've only seen the steel tiptoes in the back and regular rubber ones up front.

That was me first attempt at restoring a tractor. I sold it last year to a friend who is an Oliver nut. Steel front wheel are always harder to find than rears. During the scrap drives of WWII the fronts were easy to toss into the back of the truck when you went to town and most went to scrap dealers.
