Farmall Cub

My cousin sent me this photo this morning. She is helping me track down some of the many old photos that were taken of Dad and his IH equipment back in the 40's and 50's. Andy Weisbrodt was her grandfather and my Dad's uncle. It looks like Andy was having a FordsonFest at the old homestead.

I hope Albert and his father, Mr. John, weren't referring to Farmall's as the "other makes of tractors" he was saying couldn't follow him around the field. How were they related to you?

Oh, and you could have still bought stock in Mathias Motor Company if you had acted a little quicker....

Andy (#1) and John (#7) were my dad's uncles and Al was his cousin. Dad was named after his uncle John. Angie has only found two photos of Dad so far. Mom had a shoe box full of photos of Dad working the fields with his equipment but that box disappeared around the time she died.

Ironically, my uncle became the local Farmall dealer here in Harrison in the 40's. My demo Cub has one of his stickers that was put on it sometime in the 60's.
