I made a call to identify some plates I have to Burch the other day. I wanted to share the information with others. This is not an all inclusive list, just what I had identified. They were exceptionally nice over the phone. These are for their older series planters.
* MI = Medium

954-2 A - SOYBEAN
950 - MI - Round Corn Medium
981 -MI - Flat Corn Medium

Re: Burch Plow Works Evansville, IN Planter Plates
I know NOTHING about tractors, plows, and farming. I did purchase 14 items yesterday that were imprinted BURCH PLOW WORKS. I am trying to identify them. I believe they are seed discs (?). They are very rusted, but otherwise intact with no broken spokes, etc.
From a previous post I gathered that the two marked 949MI is a Round Corn Medium plate.
There are two each marked 49MI, and 951MI. Four discs are marked 983MI.
There are also four pieces that are smaller, marked BURCH PLOW WORKS, and marked P4.
I have "googled" the information, and found not much more than the previous post in this thread.
Are these still in use? Can anyone help me identify them?
