New Idea Spreader

Postby tinnerjohn » Sun Oct 23, 2011 8:44 pm

I have a New Idea No. 8 Spreader that I'm thinking of rebuilding this winter. Does anyone know the proper orange and green colors or a close match? I'd hate to use Kubota Orange and JD Green  Also, I'd like to find a manual, (original, photocopy, not picky). Any NI fans out there. John

AGCO carries NI parts, but I don't know whether they carry paint or not. If you want to PM me your address, I can send you a copy of the manuals I have.

Kubota orange is probably OK but John Deere green would be way off. Oliver green would be closer. You can find more information by googling new idea paint colors. I tried it and found these two pages that seem pretty useful. There are others.
